How to set up email in Outlook 2016
This guide takes you step-by-step through the process of setting up a new email account in Microsoft Outlook 2016.
*Note: This guide defaults to IMAP and SSL
*Note Replace example@example.co.uk with your domain name
Step 1. Launch Microsoft Outlook
Step 2. Select “File” on the top left menu bar
Step 3. Select the “Add Account” button in the middle of the screen, then “Account Settings”
Step 4. Insert your “email address”
Step 5. Select “Advanced options”, then select “Let me setup my account manually” then “Connect”
Step 6. This temporary screen will display
Step 7. This screen will display the various account options – select IMAP (or POP3)
Step 8. Server Settings:
• Incoming mail: mail.wwebhost.com (Or The Host Name of your Cpanel Hosting Package)
• Port 993 (or 995 for POP)
• Encryption method: SSL/TLS
• Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unticked
• Outgoing mail: mail.wwebhost.com (Or The Host Name of your Cpanel Hosting Package)
• Change Port to 465 or 587
• Encryption method: SSL/TLS
• Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unticked
Step 9. Click “Connect”
Step 10. You will now be prompted for the password
Step 11. Your setup is complete! You can now start using your email as intended.
